The Heidelberg Technology Park BioPark, the institutions biology-based site, has its main center at Im Neuenheimer Feld. Life sciences are the focus of all activity here. Renowned National Research Centers, large and small biotechnology companies and the science department of Germany’s oldest university are to be found here together on one campus. Research and teaching, service and product distribution for biotechnology and basic research, therapy optimization and clinical studies represent the basic day-to-day business. As well as this, the Technology Park 'Im Neuenheimer Feld' offers specific services relevant to this sector of industry. Amongst these are marketing and secretarial services, centralized purchasing, venture capital, patent attorneys, a modern conference center, child care, a bistro and restaurant as well as much, much more.

The UmweltPark, the Technology Park’s environment-based site, was founded in 2005 in the former 'Heinsteinwerke' buildings in Heidelberg. All activity here is based around developing and researching environment-related technology and business. Renewable energy, production techniques, nature conservation or training for new technologies – whatever the subject, an expert is to be found at the Heidelberg Technology Park UmweltPark.
Start-up center for female entrepreneurs
The start-up center for female entrepreneurs offers women comprehensive support for founding a company as well as for start-up projects. The center is based in Hans-Bunte-Straße 8–10, 69123 Heidelberg. It is funded by the City of Heidelberg and the Federal Department for Trade and Industry in the state of Baden-Wuerttemberg - Initiative for Start-ups and Business Transfer (ifex) with assistance from the European Social Fund. Technologiepark Heidelberg GmbH is the responsible body for the project.
