The German Institute For Mesenchymal Stem Cell Research (GIMSCeR) is the research laboratory of the ETHIANUM Clinic and cooperates closely with Heidelberg University Hospital. Therapy-related research focuses on the development of innovative methods in regenerative medicine. Adult stem cells from fatty tissue are used for this purpose. They are removed at low risk for the patient and are to be used, among other things, for the therapy of wound healing disorders, the revitalisation of insufficiently perfused bones and the correction of scars.
