Our one-year accelerator program for startup projects in the life sciences consists of three components: Mentoring by experienced minds, seminars on key topics and networking with potential investors and partners. A program specifically tailored to the regulated markets for active ingredients, diagnostics and medical devices. Entry is possible three times a year.

The AI Garage is a program of the Baden-Württemberg Stiftung. The program is implemented by the Heidelberg Technology Park in cooperation with the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), the University of Heidelberg and the University of Mannheim.

From science to innovation
The startup support office at Heidelberg Technology Park and Heidelberg Startup Partners e.V. offer access to a wide range of financing options. Depending on the startup phase, business model and capital requirements, we support founders in their search for a suitable form of funding.
Grants in the startup phase
In recent years, the state, federal government and European Union have developed a wide variety of funding instruments to support scientific and technological projects on their way from the laboratory to the startup world. We help you to find suitable programs and give you tips and feedback on your applications.
Subsidies for yound companies
Even after a company has been founded, public support measures are available for a wide variety of topics. Whether you want to apply for a patent as a company or need external capacities for your development department - in many cases the public sector rewards your investment with a contribution. Business angel networks
Projects with a capital requirement of less than € 500,000 can often benefit from financing through business angels: In addition to capital, these private investors also bring professional expertise, experience and a strong network to your company. We maintain intensive contact with several networks and help you to enter.
Venture capital
If you need more capital - be it for growth phases or to conduct clinical trials - you are dependent on institutional investors. Early-Stage Financing for Innovative Start-up Projects
In the early stages of founding, institutional investors usually act cautiously. To provide innovative start-up projects with initial funding, the Start-up BW Pre-Seed program was established. Technologiepark Heidelberg is an accredited support partner of Start-up BW Pre-Seed, authorized by the state of Baden-Württemberg. We assess whether the start-up project is suitable for early-stage financing and assist in the application process.
