Heidelberg, March 31, 2025 – After intensive discussions between Technologiepark Heidelberg GmbH and the Institute for Hematology and Oncology (IHO GmbH) since mid-2024, it's now official: IHO GmbH will become a new tenant at LAB22, the modern research and innovation building of Technologiepark Heidelberg, located in the Heidelberg Innovation Park (hip), starting in March 2025.
"The team at Technologiepark Heidelberg is pleased to welcome the Institute for Hematology and Oncology as a new tenant at LAB22 in the Heidelberg Innovation Park. This company, which operates in the field of molecular genetic analytics, has relocated to Heidelberg and is a valuable addition to the portfolio of life science companies across our various sites," says project manager Moritz Schindler of Technologiepark Heidelberg, who has supported and accompanied the process from the start. "This move further strengthens Heidelberg as a location, and in particular, the Heidelberg Innovation Park."
Previously based in the Gewerkschaftshaus in Mannheim, IHO GmbH has now moved into the first floor of the second construction phase of LAB22, becoming a direct neighbor to BioLabs Heidelberg, which opened in 2023.

Since 2017, the Heidelberg Innovation Park (hip) has been developing into a hotspot for innovation in IT, digital media, bioinformatics, and life sciences. On approximately 15 hectares of the former Patton Barracks of the US Army, innovative companies and research institutions are coming together to work on future-oriented solutions. The hip was planned and realized by Entwicklungsgesellschaft Patton Barracks (EGP), a company owned by the City of Heidelberg and Sparkasse Heidelberg.
