TherapySelect Dr. Frank Kischkel is a biotechnology/medical technology company focused on the development, clinical validation and sale of diagnostic tests for cancer patients. In this way, the company aims to increase the survival and quality of life of patients and reduce healthcare costs. The company is thus active in the highly topical field of personalized medicine. TherapySelect has three areas of activity: 1. the development and distribution of its own or in-licensed products, 2. the distribution of external diagnostic tests, and 3. collaboration with pharmaceutical companies in product development using its own diagnostic platform(s). Re 1: TherapySelect markets its own clinically well validated chemotherapy resistance test (CTR-Test®) worldwide. The test is an in vitro chemoresistance test on living tumor cells. In various clinical studies, the CTR-Test® showed a predictive power of ineffective chemotherapy of over 95%. The further development of the CTR-Test® technology as a platform for new products is supported by federal funding. Re 2: TherapySelect cooperates with KPS Diagnostics GmbH to offer patients molecular gene profiles of their own tumor cells in combination with the corresponding data analysis. The service is called ONCOMPASSTM. Re 3: The failure of clinical studies is the most expensive hurdle in drug development. To solve this problem, TherapySelect offers CTR-Test® technology to pharmaceutical companies for all phases of clinical development worldwide.
