The mission statement of Heidelberg University Medicine

The University Hospital Heidelberg and the Medical Faculty of the University of Heidelberg are committed to their tradition and medical progress. They are among the oldest institutions of their kind in Europe. Intensive intellectual exchange and solidarity in common tasks and goals characterize their successful cooperation in Heidelberg University Medicine.

Patient care, research and teaching are the joint tasks of the University Hospital and the Medical Faculty of Heidelberg. They face up to the manifold expectations and challenges associated with this and are committed to their mission statement:
