IMPACT DAY facilitates encounters and inspires. New connections are made, and ideas are exchanged. The diversity of Heidelberg University in transfer becomes tangible - from the latest inventions to societal innovations.

What happens on IMPACT DAY?
Workshops with experts on various topics (including Design Thinking, funding opportunities, science communication, and social entrepreneurship) on the Old Town Campus. Presentation of transfer islands showcasing outstanding transfer activities of the university in the foyer of the New University, with a focus on topics such as societal relevance, impact, and sustainability. Evening event featuring welcoming remarks from university leadership, pitches from finalists of the ideas competition, award ceremony, and a conversation between Tijen Onaran and Jan-Martin Wiarda in the New Auditorium. Get-Together in the foyer of the New Auditorium. Closing party. The detailed program will be announced in February 2024.
