Good data, bad data

Heidelberg March 3, 2021 – The growing value of data in the AI environment was the topic of the 4th KI-Lab After-Work Lounge "Good Data, Bad Data or Little Data in the AI Context", which was broadcast live from the SAS Institutes in Heidelberg on March 2nd. Four speakers highlighted the importance of data in the age of automated solutions, artificial intelligence and continuous process optimization. The experts talked about important data fundamentals in the field of AI and presented best-case examples.

Data is an essential prerequisite for the success of companies. Nevertheless, they are often still given too little attention. An important prerequisite for the implementation of AI applications is a good data architecture, emphasizes Sergej Neustadt, Co-Founder & CEO of neusinger GmbH, Frankfurt, in his presentation "Data is the new gold. Roles of data in AI projects". This also addresses the question of how more benefits can be derived from data.

This question also concerns Aniek de Haan, Data Scientist at LUB GmbH, Mannheim. The chatbot expert spoke on the topic: "How does the choice of data influence the quality of chatbots' work?"

How do you arrive at optimized processes with just very little data? Dr. Edgar Klenske, Co-Founder & CTO of "GaussML" uses a machine learning method that takes advantage of mathematical uncertainty to optimize processes with only a few parameters.

And how do AI innovations make it into innovative everyday life? David Weik, Solutions Architect at SAS Institute GmbH in Heidelberg, addressed this question. Of course, it all starts with a brilliant idea, he said. But that often doesn't happen in a quiet room, but rather in an exchange of experiences with others. This is the only way to identify problems and create good solutions with added value.
