Life Science Accelerator rings in new batch!

Since 2017, the accelerator has been supporting founders specializing in biotechnology, medical technology, and digital health on their path to independence. Interested startups can apply until September 25, 2023.

The Life Science Accelerator Baden-Württemberg offers participating teams a twelve-month intensive program with individualized coaching and seminars in digital formats. Over 50 mentors and 30 investors, as well as a large network of program partners, advise and accompany the founders. A central goal of the program is to present themselves to potential financiers in so-called investor pitches.

The program receives great approval from young companies from the life sciences as well as from the involved experts and capital providers. "Since 2017, we have been running the program in close cooperation with the Heidelberg Startup Partners e.V., the Economic and Structural Promotion Department of the city of Mannheim, and the MAFINEX Founder Association e.V. So far, we have supported 120 teams, 36 of which were able to secure a first investment," says Markus Bühler, project manager of the Life Science Accelerator and employee of Technologiepark Heidelberg GmbH. "That is why we are very pleased that the state of Baden-Württemberg has decided to support our Life Science Accelerator again for another 1.5 years after the end of the last funding round."

To continue this success story, the Life Science Accelerator is constantly evolving. In particular, the focus is on international cooperation. "Together with partner accelerators from France and Switzerland, we are organizing the "Trinational Healthtech Days" in autumn," says Bühler. "The aim is to gain a better understanding of market peculiarities in order to strengthen the market entry strategy for startups. It also offers the opportunity to network with international startups and to establish contacts with funds, venture capital providers, and corporate investors."

Interested parties for participation in the Life Science Accelerator are asked to submit their application at this address: http://www.lifescience-bw.de/application/
