The Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Economic Affairs is promoting the strengthening and development of regional AI labs, including the KI-Lab Kurpfalz at Heidelberg Technology Park.
"Artificial intelligence is a key technology that offers huge potential for value creation and is crucial for the competitiveness of the economy in the state. With regional AI labs, we are strengthening our SMEs in this important area." said Minister Hoffmeister-Kraut. The global market for AI solutions for business is developing extraordinarily dynamically. Worldwide, AI value creation is expected to increase fivefold from the current level of around 100 billion U.S. dollars to around 500 billion U.S. dollars by 2028, which corresponds to annual growth rates of around 40 percent. "Against this background, AI is a great opportunity for Baden-Württemberg. Our state is already a leader among the German states in research and in AI innovations," said the Economics Minister.
The KI-Lab Kurpfalz connects companies and AI startups with the goal of successful collaboration.
