The focus of the funding is on projects in the pre-competitive area, on the basis of which new and improved AI-based products and services are created. Eligible for funding are consortia consisting of at least two SMEs with headquarters in Baden-Württemberg and at least one research institution (a university institute or a non-profit non-university research institution) with headquarters in Baden-Württemberg. Only one research institution can be the formal applicant and consortium leader.
The maximum funding volume for each project is 300,000 euros. The calculated funding rate with regard to the calculated total project costs of the consortium may not exceed 80%. The maximum funding amount per participating SME is limited to 75,000 euros. Five million euros in budget funds are available for the call for funding.
The deadline for applications is October 14, 2020.
